Testing the laser machine, I engraved the Starcraft Zerg’s emblem (a preview of one of my other product ideas!) on my brother’s laptop. There’s a noticeable gradient on on the image that I’ve seen on other engraved laptops. I’ve determined the problem to be the slight incline of the laptop cover. This incline made the surface closer to the laser, putting the laser out of focus, and causing a burn on the surface. Next time I’ll use a level to fix that problem.
